Well according to Google it’s Singapore ! People in Singapore searching for ‘Japanese Food’ number more than double those in second and third place, which are Australia and Malaysia.
Here is a link to one of my favourite food blogger’s who live in Singapore.

This is probably more than you want to know, but here goes:
I don’t go out very often, but Japanese food at restaurants is mostly sushi, teppanyaki, or fusion. Tonkatsu is also popular. In my town, most of the Japanese restaurants are owned by Koreans! There are several Asian grocery stores, and one has a large selection of Japanese foods. There are Japanese stores within 30 miles, but I rarely get to them. There is also one “regular” grocery store that has a very nice selection of Japanese pantry goods, as well as frozen and refrigerated things. Vegetables are hard to find, but there is a Korean market only a block from my house that has some nice produce. They sometimes (but not always) have nice looking fresh fish, too. Fresh fish is really expensive in stores here.

Austria and Japanese food. There are a lot of Asian restaurants here, though the vast majority does only serve ‘generic’ Asian food (pretty much europeanized and dulled down in a lot of cases, often not even resembling the original anymore). There are only a handful of ‘true’ Japanese restaurants here (evenly split between regular restaurants and tea houses), and then there are a handful claiming to be Japanese (though the food they serve is neither Japanese nor.. well, lets say おいしくない is being friendly when it comes to their food)
There is one speciality import store I’m aware of, providing a rather limited stock of Japanese food (it’s just a small store, sadly.. I tend to get Daifuku from there from time to time since I found out where it is.)
Looking through the recipes now, it seems like I’m going to surprise one or another person someday in the near future.. =)

Japanese food in the US seems to be becoming more popular every day.
It is defiantly a growing trend here, especially when it comes to sushi. But this has me concerned because. Bluefin tuna is over fished.
