Spicy Japanese Snack
Wasabi Peas are dried peas coated in wasabi paste. While not the most appealing of thoughts for some people, they are a very addictive snack, and perhaps healthier alternative to potato chips. I’ve seen people saying how strong the taste is and how they aren’t sure of the taste, only to reach back a second later, for the next, and next and next… probably a bit like marmite, as the advert says, ‘you’ll either love them or not’, they are that kind of snack.
Have you ever tried Wasabi Peas?

I love wasabi crusted peas. I just can’t stop eating them once I’ve started. Somebody need to take them away from me to stop. - very, very addictive. But fun addictive
I love them! I saw a recipe using them crushed as a coating for fried fish, I’d love to try that…
I’m curious to know how many people out there like them… where do you buy your wasabi peas? they aren’t so common in England. I only see them occasionally
I love them too. I bought it from chinese supermarket in London’s Chinatown. hth.
They’re completely addictive - but the brand pictured isn’t nearly hot enough for me! ^_^
I usually get mine at the Japan Centre in Piccadilly Circus, or at one of the markets in Chinatown near Leicester Square. Although an Asian supermarket has just opened up near my work, and so I might start getting them there in the future…
