mentaiko pasta fresh out of the packet
Mentaiko pasta is one of Japan’s own pasta creations, it’s a spicy cream sauce made from marinaded Pollock roe.
It’s very nice, and handly comes in packet form, which no doubt can be bought at your local Asian supermarket. Or for those living in Japan, the supermarket and conbini. Below is the packet we usually buy, though, you may have other options. Enjoy!

Yum. I made this recently. Well, actually, I never saw the packet as you show, but I will look for it. I used frozen mentaiko. Very good!
