Cheap Japanese style pottery
Since I’ve been back in Japan I’ve been busy buying various things for our new home, here are some of the dishes that I’ve bought recently. Both me and my husband like the pottery in Japan. Rather than having dishes of a similiar series, like wedgewood or portmeirion (which my mother-in-law likes) it’s common to mix dishes. The majority of the dishes in the picture were bought for just 100yen from the ‘hyaku yen store’. Hyaku yen is about 1 US dollar or 50p in the UK.

My grandma actually makes Raku pottery, so I can really appreciate them. They’re one of my favorite kind of dishes to eat out of. :]

Wow those look amazing!
I wish we could get them at that price here in the US, items like that her cost 4-5 times that amount.
